Is Your Portfolio Retirement-Ready? The 5-Point Check for a Successful Retirement

I don't just tell you what to invest in. I teach you how to think like an investor. In this free hour you run the same 5-point check I do, on your own portfolio, then I stay on and answer your questions live.

Saturday, September 19 at 9am PT / 12pm ET 100% free to attend. Replay for registrants only.

We are live right now. Check your email for the Zoom link.

By the end of the hour you will have your own retirement-ready scorecard: the 5 things I check, graded on your portfolio.

You will get the training link by email, plus a chance to send me your #1 question for the live Q&A.

What you leave with

One hour. One scorecard.

Most people who ask me for a portfolio review already have one. What they do not have is a way to tell whether it will actually carry them through retirement. So they hold on, hope it is enough, and second-guess it every time the market moves.

Retirement is the number one worry I hear, from people ten years out and from people already drawing on their accounts. The problem is rarely one bad fund. It is that nobody has ever checked the whole portfolio against a standard. On September 19 I give you that standard, and we run it on real portfolios together.

Unchecked: will it last?
  • Funds bought at different times, for different reasons
  • No idea if it is enough, too risky, or both
  • Hoping it works out by the time you stop working
After the 5-point check: it holds
  • You know which of the 5 points pass and which fail
  • You know exactly what to fix first
  • You stop second-guessing it every time the market moves
The promise

By the end of the hour you will have your own retirement-ready scorecard: the 5 things I check before anyone stops working, graded on your portfolio, with the gaps circled.

The Training

Here is what we will cover

Part 1

The 5-point check I run on every portfolio before anyone stops working: timeline, overlap, accounts, income plan, and the rules for the next drop

Part 2

Live teardowns of real, anonymized portfolios on screen, so you see what passes, what fails, and why

Part 3

Your own scorecard, filled in during the hour, so you leave knowing exactly what to fix first

Already retired?

This is not only for people ten years out. If you are already drawing on your portfolio, point 4, the income and withdrawal plan, is built for you.

Still 15 years away? Even better. The earlier you run the check, the cheaper the fixes.

Try it yourself

What if you retired at the worst possible time?

Pick the year you retired. Watch $500,000 with $20,000 a year taken out ride through the crash that came next.

--Balance as the years pass
--Worst point
--Total taken out

$500,000 in the S&P 500 at the start of the year you retired, $20,000 taken out at the start of every year, dividends reinvested, no inflation or taxes. Source: S&P 500 total annual returns, 1999-2025. Historical data, not a prediction of future returns.

Every one of those retirements made it through because the withdrawals were planned, not panicked. That plan is point 4 of the check. You grade yours on September 19.

Your host: Professor G

I teach finance at the university level, and I have taught more than 1,000 investors walking this exact path. Everything I teach starts from the same place: what the data actually says, explained in plain language, so you can make calm decisions with your own money.

I teach what nearly a century of market history rewards, and the simple habits that keep you invested when the headlines get loud. No hot picks, because I do not believe anyone can reliably time the market.

On September 19 I will run that check live, tear down real portfolios on screen, and then I will stay on and answer your questions for the rest of the hour. More than 7,000 people registered for my free training in August.

Before you ask

Quick questions, straight answers

Is it really free?

Yes, 100% free to attend. No cost, no card, nothing to buy. Register with your first name and email and the training link lands in your inbox the morning of the training.

Will there be a replay?

Yes, for registrants only. The replay goes out by email after the training and stays up for a few days, then it comes down. Showing up live is the only way to get your own questions answered.

Do I need investing experience?

No. If you already have a portfolio, you grade it during the hour. If you are just starting, you leave knowing what a portfolio has to pass before you can retire on it. Everything is taught in plain language with real numbers.

How long is it?

One hour. 25 minutes of teaching, then I stay on and answer your questions for the rest of the hour.

Where is it hosted?

Live on Zoom. Your join link arrives by email the morning of the training, and you can watch from your computer or your phone.

Do I need a lot of money to get started?

No. The training is about the plan, and the plan works at any account size, whether you are investing your first dollars or managing a full portfolio.

I am already retired. Is this still for me?

Yes. Point 4 of the check is the income and withdrawal plan, and that is the point most retired portfolios have never been graded on.

Will you tell me what stocks to buy?

No. I do not do hot picks. I teach you how to think like an investor: the 5-point check, run on real portfolios in front of you, so you can run it on your own. You leave with a scorecard you understand and can use yourself.

Walk in guessing. Walk out with a scorecard.
